Recently, at the National Nonferrous Metals Standard Work Conference held in Tai'an City, Shandong Province, China Aluminum Zhengzhou Nonferrous Metals Research Institute Co., Ltd. was awarded the honorary title of "Demonstration Base for Research and Development of International Standards for Magnesium and Magnesium Alloys" and was honored.
It is reported that since my country assumed the secretariat of ISO/TC79/SC5 (magnesium and magnesium alloys) International Standardization Technical Committee in 2008, the Zhengzhou Research Institute has been playing a leading role in the development of international standards for magnesium and magnesium alloys. And released 2 international standards and 3 research projects. Currently participating in the international standard "Determination of Lithium Content in Magnesium-Lithium Alloys - Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry" has successfully entered the CD stage (committee draft, CommitteeDraft).
This commendation is not only an affirmation of Zhengzhou Research Institute's work in the development of magnesium international standards, but also a full recognition of Chinalco's benchmarking against the world and its establishment of a world-class mining company.
